Ellen's Story

Ellen, age 41, is a Chicago mother of three who suffered a traumatic brain injury during the birth of her youngest child. She was forced to relearn every daily function, including walking, talking and eating. Ellen also had missing and decayed teeth, broken at the gum line and needed new implants to secure a bridge, but she could not afford dental treatment. Thanks to Dr. John Cummins, a general dentist; Dr. Gregory Fauth, a periodontist; Jade Dental Laboratory and DENTSPLY International, a dental products manufacturer, all DDS volunteers, Ellen received more than $12,000 in treatment. Ellen is able to chew again and she has a big smile.
